The Downfall of Modern Comedy

Comedy, a profession that used to be for the elite of the elite, has now become a sad sack of Netflix specials that wont stop coming, a shadow of its former self. Trust me I’m not being dramatic, there are well over 100 comedy specials on Netflix world wide. They just wont stop. its an epidemic. What used to be something that brought tears of laughter to my eyes now brings tears of longing for it to stop. Any one who looks overly nerdy, from a minority group, or incredibly good looking all get tickets to fame in a profession that used to have such high standards; oh how far they have fallen.

I know what your thinking, and no I’m not being over dramatic. When you have people like Michael Blackson, who at the end of every punch line say “motha sucka!” You have to be weary of the plague that is comedians. I never thought this day would come, yet here it is. This is a short but simple complaint. STOP. PRODUCING. SO. MANY. NETFLIX. SPECIALS. Please and thank you 🙂
